About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Lower Bodannon is a working arable farm and has been farmed by the Barriball family since the early 1900s. In recent times the farm buildings had become unusable for our type of farming, so they have been restored and converted into holiday cottages.

Farm Owners
Meet Suzanne and Chris Barriball, the proud owners of our beloved farm. With a passion for sustainable agriculture and a commitment to nurturing the land, they have transformed this farm into a thriving oasis. Together, they work tirelessly to provide organic meadow hay and create a welcoming environment for visitors

The Tech side
Meet Miah Barriball, the driving force behind our tech and digital presence. From crafting our website to managing our social media on Facebook and Instagram, she ensures everything runs smoothly. Her husband, Stephen, plays a crucial role as well, taking care of maintenance and tending to the gardens. As farmer and the son of Chris and Suzanne, Stephen's dedication to sustainability shines through in every aspect of their work.
Together, they are raising their daughter, Scarlett, who is often pictured enjoying the beauty of their surroundings and bringing joy to their family.

Our Story

The farm has transitioned from animal farming to arable production, now focusing on growing organic hay. This hay is used to feed our own animals and is also supplied to other local farmers in the area.
Today, the farm is home to several horses cared for by Miah — ranging from large 15hh horses to miniature Shetlands as small as 7hh.
Stephen is passionate about beekeeping and currently tends to three hives, harvesting honey from them each year.
Chris and Suzanne keep a variety of poultry, all originally reared by a local man with a deep passion for native bird breeds.
We also lease part of our land to a resident farmer who keeps cattle here. He has farmed with us for many years, and many of our visitors enjoy greeting his cows during their stay.
